Fall Colors at Clark’s Creek

Clark’s Creek in the late Fall is quite stunning with the foliage of Beech Trees and other native plants changing subtly as they senesce.   The hike was beautiful and showcased the delicate orange, red, and yellow leaves set against an evergreen backdrop of Magnolia and Pine.  The water level was low, with trickles dripping from the rock faces for waterfalls, and thin streams braiding through the creek beds.  The reds, oranges, and golds imprinted in the usually submerged creek soils were revealed and seemed to reflect the Fall leaves above.
